Fellowship of Christian Athletes National Hockey Headquarters
Alexandria, Minnesota

A Collaboration between the NorthStar Christian Academy and Fellowship of Christian Athletes
The NorthStar Christian Academy’s purpose is to train students to independently and critically think while providing an opportunity to embrace a Biblical world view.  The new campus will consist of a full-curriculum high school for NorthStar Christian Academy students while offering classes to other students attending Alexandria High School.  The Academy will include a chapel and indoor assembly space for worship services, conferences and teaching functions.

The second component to the campus will consist of an indoor hockey facility for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  The hockey facility will serve as the North American Headquarters.  It will house a full-size rink, spectator seating and all necessary support spaces including locker rooms, concessions and coaching amenities.  Also, the master plan for the campus is designed to accommodate future expansion of the school as well as residence halls.  Lastly, the plan has dedicated a substantial portion of the site to outdoor sports fields.

The FCA National Hockey Division toured prospective communities in all 48 continental United States to find the ideal community to develop and construct their national headquarters and training facility.  After being short-listed along side four other cities, Alexandria was the community selected as the home for their new facility.

A collaboration between the FCA and NCA Board was established and planning of the NorthStar Christian Academy commenced in the Spring of 2015.  Tom Wacholz, President of ORB Management, was selected as a member of the Building Committee and ORB was later appointed as the Project Manager.  In addition to navigating the development, planning, design and construction processes, our Commercial Real Estate Group advised/represented the Board on the land purchase transaction.
