Alexandria Technical & Community College Foundation Hall:
Recognizing that community colleges need to provide more than high-quality academics to attract students, the Alexandria Technical & Community College engaged ORB Management to embark on a student housing project unlike any other constructed for a Minnesota Community College.
From market research; feasibility studies and operational budget analyses to project team partner solicitation and selection; management of design an d construction activities; and Residential Life programming and training; ORB assisted with all aspects of the project as Alexandria Technical & Community College Foundation’s development partner. In short, we created the team, coordinated the financing and brought their plan to fruition.
The Turn-Key Plus solution that our team provided t o the ATCC Foundation has been extremely successful. Utilizing the tools we provided for recruiting and retaining students, the Foundation was able to obtain 100% occupancy for the 2012, 2013 an d 2014 academic years.
Following project completion, we were also retained by the Foundation to review and advise on the monthly profit and loss statements for all revenue and expenses. The actual operational expenses for the fiscal year are below the budgeted projections which in turn has created additional reserves and revenue for the Foundation. We are proud to have b een part of a project which provides students with affordable, secure suite-style housing and the Foun dation with more than $150,000 annual revenue.
