Mid-State Education District’s (MSED) 2018 commercial green field development includes a 35,000 square foot slab on grade single story wood frame construction and associated site improvements.  The school was specifically designed using next generation planning concepts that enable MSED to safely and effectively deliver special education and related services to children and youth from neighboring partner school districts.  Working with Design Build team members to prioritize design decisions while managing cost impact, throughout the process ORB worked proactively with client and community to advocate for a best value facility solution.  Many options were considered, including both new construction and adaptive reuse.
